Oahu 2017

Hey everyone!

Mitch and I got to take a last minute trip to Oahu at the end of October. We were there for a little over
a week, and we couldn't have asked for a dreamier trip! :) I've gotten a lot of questions and requests  asking what we did and wanting to see more pictures, so here ya go!

OUR WEEK IN OAHU

It was Mitch's first time there, and I couldn't wait to play tour guide and show him all around!

We stayed in the Pearl Hotel in Waikiki. Huge mahalo to them for being exactly what we needed! We really just needed a crash pad that was close to the beach and accessible by bus, and that is exactly what we got!

We got to our hotel around dinner time and headed straight for the beach! It was cloudy but warm, and I actually loooooooved how it looked with all of the fog!

We woke up bright and early the next day to catch a bus over to the North Shore (If anyone has any questions about the bus system, please email me!! We chose to bus around instead of rent a car, and we never ever ever ever regretted that decision! It was SO easy and SO cheap!)

I showed Mitch around the PCC and BYU Campus (so many memories :')) and then we caught a bus into Haleiwa for lunch at Storto's Deli & Sandwich Shop (literally has the best subs we've had anywhere) and then, of course, a treat from Matsumotos!

We caught another bus to Shark's Cove to do a bit of snorkeling! We napped on the sand, ate some Acai bowls, and caught the bus back to Waikiki in time to eat dinner next to the ocean.

He is LEGIT sleeping in this pic :')

Mitch took these next 2 with his iphone, and they are GORGEOUS. Can you spot the hidden little green friend? :)

Mitch loved snorkeling so much that we decided to spend the whole next day doing it! We woke up early and headed straight to Haunama Bay! I've been there before and, usually, it is filled with tourists, but it wasn't busy at all this day! We walked to the end of the beach where it was just us, hung our hammock, and spent the day sun-bathing and hunting for sea turtles!

We ate lunch at Fat Boys. SO SO SO SOOOOOO ONO.

We actually don't have a ton of photos from the next couple of days!

We decided to explore and be in the moment, and, honestly, they were the best.We spent them exploring Honolulu, in the ocean, and soaking in as much sun as we could! We went back up to the North Shore! I was able to see some of my sweet family that I haven't seen in too long, and OF COURSE we had to stop by Seven Brothers. Here are some i-phone pics that we snapped :)

This is from a sunset at Waikiki Beach. Sooooooooooooooooo dreamy.

His interviews went amazingly! He killed it (like I knew he would :))

Last Full Day:

We spent the entire day at Lanakai! We did the Pillbox hike and then spent the rest of the day laying out on Lanakai Beach (which Mitch has deemed as his all-time favorite beach ever!). It was a perfect and relaxing day!

Our last day was saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad :( but still dreamy! Hahah. We spent the entire day at the Waikiki beach. It was crowded, but fun! We caught the plane at about 11pm and I cried all the way back to Utah..

Overall, we couldn't have been more thrilled about our quick little trip! It was so fun showing Mitch around a place that is so dear and near to my heart.

I have a feeling we will be back before too long. :)
